It’s a been while since I’ve had such a great meal. I’m traveling to Nantes for a few days and 1st stop at the friendly Pickles. The food was really really good. 24euros the lunch menu everything I’ve tried was delicious including wine, desert was maybe my least favorite dish but i would recommend to anyone!

Best food in Nantes.. farm to table galore.. the chef, a Brit who came to Nantes for the love of a woman, really shines!!! Food is tasty and well thought of, the craftsmanship in the kitchen shows and the chef will be out there with every dish to talk about it! Great experience all together. Make sure you book in advance!
Where to begin, the food was so good, creative and delicious, the wine pairings with each plate complemented the flavour as a whole. The atmosphere is bistro-welcoming, the staff are friendly and explained everything really well. The top was the dessert was paired with a beer which had to be a wild ferment or something (there was Brett, Lacto taste) it was amazing, with the juniper berry ice-cream it went excellently together. Maybe one day they will do beer pairings with the plates. Bravo to the team.
Deserves one Michelin star. Delicious and excellent value. Inventive and very unpretentious.
Great food Nice atmosphere
Pickles is a unique experience. You go there to discover plates that you’ve never tasted before. Chef is über creative and his warmth and passion Infuse everything his touches. Local Sourcing is super thoughtful and Dominic Quirke always finds surprising ways to combine it with spices, indiquons, condiments or fermented exotic touches. Unparalleled.
Amazing! The food was amazing, the wine was amazing, the price for the quality of food you were getting was incredible! And to top it off the head chef came out to meet & chat with us. Couldn't recommended this place more if I could!
I was only in Nantes for 1 evening and wanted to try a few dishes involving locally sourced products. Pickles has that in abundance. A different experience and well received. Fine dining meets bistro perfectly here. Great atmosphere and service of course, with exceptional food to boot. Every plate was a work of art, with thought and creativity pulsating through every bite. With a choice of 4 or 6 perfectly balanced courses, you'll get to sample great quality local produce, delivered with technical excellence - and an obvious personal touch. I was well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Highly recommended, well done and thank you guys.
