If I were able to give this builder ZERO stars, I would do so! Firstly this review is for TOWER HILL HOMES. This builder is part of the New Seaton development on Taunton in Pickering. I am highly disappointed with the service that I have received from the beginning of this process. The staff at the sales Center are ill equipped to answer questions, even with a booked appointment there is no personalized service. The sales associates are misleading when asked about changes. You are told that changes will be made at the Decor Center. Your Decor Center appointment happens months after signing, there is NO COOL OFF PERIOD! (PLEASE be aware that selections at the decor Center are limited and over priced). Their responses lead you to believe that changes are not a problem, when in fact they are! If I were told initially by the sales associates that NO CHANGES are possible I would NOT have signed to this company. The builder has NO model houses which forces you to purchases houses based on a printed floor plan. The builder has REFUSED to make even the slightest change to the floor plan even if it doesn’t interfere with the integrity of the structure. I have simply been told NO NO NO to each of my request. Something as basic as having an under mount sink (which should be standard in houses valued at 1 MILLION) is considered an upgrade. There is NO CUSTOMIZATION allowed in my OWN HOME. I am truly saddened and disappointed that my dream home experience has turned into a complete nightmare. At this point I’m ready to walk away from this builder however I’m not willing to lose my LARGE deposit. I feel STUCK!!! Ps. Fantastic area, but I would recommend going with another builder! Do yourself and your loved ones a favour and stay far far away from this builder. Go with Mattamy, Aspen Ridges, Brookfield - any of the other builders in Seaton.
The entire site is losing on my review because they allowed TowerHill to ruin it for them. Aspen Ridge and Brookfield are both great builders and their service is impeccable! TowerHill is the total opposite. It's almost like they want to provide bad service and quality on purpose. When I first went to the sales office, their reps told me the area is owned by TowerHill and everyone else was buying the land from them. Yet everyone builder has built far more homes than they have. And who's even heard TowerHill before this? Lol All pettiness aside, the service is a nightmare once you've purchased and you will never get any answers to your questions prior to or after moving in. You will get great service up until you sign the purchase agreement. Once you've done that, goodluck. Their service to fix things post pdi/30 days is terrible and they literally push everything to the last minute and do things to the most minimal extent. My hope is the owners see this and improve their quality of workmanship and their service! Speficially, Dana King their customer service agent (who used to work for Mattamy Seaton and got let go) and Jessica Vos their sales agent who works for Intercity so I guess that's why she doesn't care. If you are buying for an investment do it! If you care about the experience and will be living there, consider carefully.
