I’ve had a great experience with dr sim. no negative comments. He is always very straight forward and always asking what else he can do to help me and that means a lot. I always feel like he really cares and wants to help my situation. 10/10 recommend

Dr Sim lacks good patient communication skills. My first visit with him was awful following a complication with my nerve block which left my left arm totally numb after one month post-surgery. I was in tears and he gave me no comfort or sympathy that this was not how my arthritic thumb surgery was supposed to go. After I lodged a complaint with my surgeon’s nurse, my second visit was a little better, but he still didn’t offer the information I needed. The doctor who did my nerve test was much better and clearly explained my situation and the best prognosis they could offer me. However, in my medical leave of absence paperwork for my job, his notes have implied I will be totally functioning in two weeks, when in fact, it will probably be a year, and even after that long, there is still no guarantee I will recover full use of my arm and hand. I type on a computer in my job, so this limitation is very bad. I do not recommend Dr. Sim or another anesthesiologist, Dr. Peter Steiner. They are taking no responsibility for their mistake that has caused extensive nerve damage.
