Don't file any bankruptcies if at all possible. If you file chapter 7 the Trusty assigned your case and the lawyer they hire to do the actual work can and will take advantage of your situation and \legally\ extort you. They get paid first and your debts are secondary priority. The process in place to help you is abused for profit. Yes, filing is \vollentary\ but once you file they will not let you out of the process and you are at there mercy. It's like you're on a sinking ship like the Titanic. You shoot up a flare and wave down this ship in the distance for help. Well that ship is a pirate ship and they are plundering your ship and only kidnapping some of the choice people from your ship and actually leaving you worse off than you were before. So if you are that desperate and want to take a chance at least hire a good lawyer, it's a must! Also prepare to take a lot of time off work, have your friends and family dragged in, more paperwork than you can imagine and the opposing lawyer will screw with you by making you do scavanger hunts of 15 through 30 items ever chance they get. Demanding you do it in a week or less in most cases and some items will be asked for, even though you provide it to them, 2, 3, 4 times. Because they can. In short it can make your life a living hell that can take years to recover from financially and mentally.

This court has also changed a lot. The first floor used to be where forms were located. This court now has a self help center located on the sixth floor. The first person of contact on the first floor, was disrespectful. Not everyone whom has never been inside this court knows where to go. Or if you have been, but not aware of the changes, then the person should not be disrespectful. The person Tammy in the self help area, who was covering today was very helpful.
