I have been a lawyer 40 years and have done some remote depositions, but never one that went as smoothly or was as well handled as the one I just completed with Thompson Court Reporters. I am in California. I still am not 100% sure where the witness was, but he was there, easy to see, easy to hear, and the Court Reporter was courteous, professional and diligent. It has had quite an impact on my thinking - why not do that as often as possible, avoid the travel, and work from the comfort of my office? The exhibits were provided and marked in advance - the witness had them, the court reporter had them, and I had them.
