I love the Y. Been a member for 20 years, but if you want to be safe from Covid do not go there. People are wearing masks on their chins, mouth and nose exposed, no one disinfecting equipment, no staff supervision. I reported someone not wearing a mask, and after they were told to wear it, they just wore it on their chin. Next day two people with masks on chins, nose and mouth exposed. So the rules for masks and disinfecting are in place but there is no supervision or enforcement. If you are worried about Covid you should probably stay away.

Courts are empty most of the time. Sometimes its full of try hards though. If someone comes up to you and says \You tryna run one?\ , say NO Doesn't rent basketballs to ASU students anymore.

Regarding the Lincoln Family YMCA residence. I've stayed here for going on 16 months now and the resident staff has turned over twice. We are now on the 3rd management team. When the Coronavirus outbreak began months went by before they required residents to wear a mask while on the elevator or walking through the lobby. Staff communication is poor. The new staff doesn't respond to complaints regarding excessive noise. In the past if a complaint was made, the noise complaint was addressed and often times verbal and written warnings were given. Now a resident can complain numerous times but they are essentially ignoring the problems. The staff required all residents to sign new agreements and pressured residents to sign up for auto pay because the staff doesn't have the time at the end of the month to take rent payments. The FTC makes several statements regarding a consumers rights but the Y agreement had no precautionary wording regarding those rights. I plan to stay for short while more and I can only hope the staff improves or maybe it will turn over again and there will be proper management.

I will tell you something. There is a shortage of old, cool, hip looking buildings in Phoenix. At the Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA you will get to experience a real cool, old hip looking building. The entire place is so cool looking on the inside and built so differently from any new building you may see now and days.
