I wish there was a no star option. I used to love the group. My child attended at the Chandler location. Since going to one of the Phoenix locations. It's; been frustrating to,say the least. My daughter is 6 year's old. And is considered high needs. Just based on the trauma. That she's endured. She feels suicidal at time's. And as opposed, to actually helping. My child was shuffled from... One casemanager to another. We never even met,the first one. The; second casemanager kept ,asking me questions. That; I already thoroughly ,answered during intake. And yet here we sit. Without any type of counseling. Or therapy for her trauma. I'll; be seeking behavioral, health services elsewhere.

I keep getting the run around. It's been 6 months since I haven't heard from anyone at this place for my child to receive the help she needs.

I have been taking my daughter to this agency for over 2 years. She is African-American so I will say I have never experienced any sort of discrimination there. When we started my poor baby was suicidal and hated school. She was in 6th grade. I didn't know what to do. I was hesitant at accepting services because I knew medication would be involved. They got her in right away and began treatment. It was a long road, we had several doctor changes. I almost stopped her services because of that; but, I found this is unfortunately common in the mental health world. The medicine and therapy were helpful, even though it was unorganized. I voiced my concerns to the office manager who immediately started investigating my complaints. We were able to get everything resolved and I decided to stay. My daughter has been off her meds since August 2018 and she is in high school now. She loves it and is no longer suicidal. Through her therapy at AZCA she has learned coping mechanisms to help her get through her day at school and ways to avoid confrontation at home. The IEP encouraged by an Advocate from Az Children's Association has been very helpful and is set up for all of her high school years. Any time we needed the advocate present for a meeting at school, she flexed her scheduled to step in.I am happy we stuck it out. We have her annual appointment today, and due to her tremendous progress we will likely be closing the case out as I am pleased with our services. I encourage all parents reading this review to try this agency for yourselves. While reviews are helpful, some can be left out of spite and steer you away from a place that may be best for your child. Behavioral health is no walk in the park; however, it is well worth the time it takes.

Applied for this program in April of 2017, was then overlooked by Maxwell and passed on to Carlos who are both therapist, my son has extreme behavioural issues and I assumed he will get diagnosed and therapy, yep welp that is bogus, they collect funding and leave these children still without a outlet, can not receive ssi either because they do not diagnose as I previously stated they do not help they only collect funding, do not seek services through this association if you are black or Hispanic they help only Caucasian. They are ignoring my cry for help for my son, because he us black and they rather him end up as a statistic then to help curve his path towards success.
