I understand that it was Valentine’s Day but our waitress was awful. She barely checked up on us and waited over 20 minutes to take our order. She never let us know that the rolls were going to take over an hour to come out and we found out when we overheard her talking to another waitress. Other employees were checking up on their tables and offering free appetizers to compensate for the wait but we were never offered the same treatment. She did not even give us our food and had other people run it for her. We ended up paying for the food we already ate and left before the rolls came out. We probably saw her twice throughout the 2 hours we were there.

Wonderful food, atmosphere, and staff! Everyone was helpful about our questions and our food was delivered promptly. The menu is extensive! I would absolutely dine here again.

Zama is an outstanding restaurant. Their sushi, sashimi and cooked food are all worth sampling. The short rib plate is a favorite of mine, not what you might expect at a Japanese restaurant but a delicious surprise. Their service is attentive and helpful, the noise level low so conversation is never strained. While not inexpensive, I felt the food and service delivered. We enjoyed the wide variety of sake as well, a perfect accompaniment to their food.

Absolutely delicious!!!! Red dragon role... Tuna jalapeno was great. Lettuce wraps with tofu delicious. Mushroom appetizer flavorful. Desserts are bite sized shareable and oh so yummy .. salted chocolate mousse, passion fruit mousse, mango sorbet. Asahi dry draft beer.
