Mixology Wine Institute of Technology is an excellent choice. Class sizes are small, there is a high degree of student involvement in lessons, and a focus on hands on training and real world knowledge. I feel confident going into the workplace with the background I have gained from here, and I think anyone interested in the bartending field would be well served attending their classes.

I absolutely loved my time at MWI. The staff is so kind and willing to talk to you about their experiences and give pointers. The environment is friendly and its hands on training. You get way more than what you are paying for and the confidence to go out there and be the best.

This place is incredible. That's what I would like to say first and foremost. Look I'm just an average Joe who's been working 4-5 jobs at a time just to get by. Well not anymore! We all know that being a bartender is were the money is at and because of the Mixology Wine Institute of Philadelphia I can finally breathe easier. The establishment has excellent instructors full of knowledge and skill that take you through the training. It's actually more fair to call them Mixologist. I even had to step away from the program due to personal reasons after I had already started and the school was completely understanding. They saved my spot, and after dealing with life, like we all have to...I came back and finished up. And as far as finding a job. I already have one. Had it two days before I actually graduated ;) What I did was went to the interview and showed all the certifications I had that the school offered. The SafeServe classes is hands down just as important as the certificate of completion. Bottom line: The Mixology Wine Institute of Philadelphia rocks. They prepare you and give you the chance to start something new. I would recommend it to anyone.

This school was alot of fun. Definitely excited about coming to class and actually being behind the bar was a great experience to get you started. The school is under construction so it's hot and not that great looking right now but it still gets the job done. Marc was a great instructor, he made things fun and easy to learn. The most beneficial part of the school, however, is the lifelong job placement, that's the benefit to the big investment. The program is intense, but definitely do-able and fun. Hopefully they'll have the ice machine working soon so students can practice when they need :D other than that, a pretty good experience. I also paid for VIP which I wish I hadnt really jumped into, but I havent taken them yet so I'm sure they'll be great and I'll feel differently after. Overall, fun and beneficial to get you started as a bartender

I recently decided to change my college major and transfer schools and therefore, was left with a few months of free time. I knew that I needed to find a job and always had an interest in bartending. After a quick google search, I came across the Mixology Wine Institute. I just graduated today and could not be any happier with my experience. I was very nervous on my first day, as the lessons and practice begin immediately. However, I began to feel comfortable after just one class! All of the instructors and students were very friendly and happy to help in any way possible. The mock bar setup that students learn behind is top quality and a great way to get real experience right from the start. By the end of the course, you will have learned 150 drinks and feel comfortable moving around the bar. This course definitely takes a lot of hard work and dedication in order to complete it to its full potential, but it is worth every minute of work that you put in. After just three weeks, I feel confident that when I find a job I will be able to fit right in with the other bartenders and continue to improve my skills. Overall, the Mixology Wine Institute is incredible and if you are looking to become a bartender/mixologist - this is the place for you!
