We loved our stay. The team - led by the owner personally - are cheerful, efficient and obliging. The Captain Oates room is spacious and comfortable ... and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Dinner was a treat too, with a menu for all tastes and a well-judged wine list. Ideal spot for a quiet rural get-away break and excellent value for money.

A pleasant enough pub with very decent food
Lovely stay, and the food was wonderful. The Pheasant is perfectly placed in the countryside, for a quiet few days. No trouble with parking, or with noisy neighbours
We had the most amazing meal tonight our last night of our holiday in the Lake District and our daughters 9th birthday. The food was outstanding definitely not pub grub - high quality restaurant meals and so delicious. We sat in the garden and everything the staff did was to help make it a pleasant experience despite Covid. Thank you so much for squeezing us in we would highly recommend!!
