Excellent day at lovely Petworth House. The grounds are magnificent with lots of space for the children to run around. We also really love that there is usually always plenty of parking.

Very popular today, car park busy. House dressed for Christmas, looking great. Cafe open with limited indoor seating. Staff working hard, well done guys. Fine late autumn/early winter day for stroll around the lake.

It's great that the House is now open and not too busy. There is a fine collection of Turner paintings on display, 19 of them, together with Gainsboroughs and other fine paintings. One way system in house works well. The grounds can provide for hours of walking covering some 700 acres. We'll worth walking up Monument Hill for fine views north across the South Downs. We the combination of walking in the Park and the Culture within the house, this provides for a great day out. Recommend you bring water or buy at the entrance shop as no facilities once you get into the park or at the house.

Absolutely beautiful house, with amazing paintings by Turner, Van Dyck and a lot more, the rooms are elegantly furnished, and the National Trust staff ensured that you were kept apart whilst inside the house and around the Park. Over 7 acres of park land, with wild deer and various wildfowl in the lakes. Ideal place to walk your dog, albeit you cannot take the dog into the house. Well organised by the National Trust.
