When going into the shop to simply look at some cold water fish, a rather overbearing and rude lady interrupted our conversation. At first seemingly to be friendly and give advice about the fish and tanks. However that soon changed. I was with my grandfather an elderly gentleman with some minor memory issues. This woman persisted to rather forcefully quiz my grandfather and confuse him quite a lot. Due to this he started to just answer the questions with what he thought the woman wanted to hear, this is a common resort for him due to the memory issue. After he got flustered I attempted to intervene and explain the situation, but by this point the woman was simply not listening to what I was saying. She simply fixated on the confused answers she was given by my grandfather. My grandfather then decided he didn’t want to bother with the fish as the stress and uncomfortable situation was too much for him to bear. When I tried to explain the situation once more to the lady after he had, she refused to listen to what I had to say and walked away. Due to this I’ll not be returning to this shop again neither will many friends and family. All are equally appalled by the attitude and service. A very poor representation of good customer service.

Cannot recommend this place enough as the genuine care and attention to what we needed in store was impeccable. Helena was truly amazing when Mars and I came into store last week. I had some issues and questions, and not only did she answer them, but she walked me around the store to help me with what Mars might want / could ever need. Really impressed with the service and the range of what they have in store is brilliant too. Felt safe and secure during COVID times as well. Would 100% recommend :) - Thank you Helena!

Just some friendly advice - If a member of the public informs you that there is a full on fight going on between territorial animals that will fight to the death please don't just smile, say ok and do nothing about it. I do know what I'm talking about and do recognise when a hamster has reached an age where it quickly needs to be separated from its sibling. This was not play fighting and was not nice to watch.
