Many Doctors surgeries get a bad rap in these tough times (though some deserve it without mentioning names). But whenever I've called to see a doctor at The Swan surgery I'm always seen that same morning whether it be by the nurse or a doctor. Ultra friendly. I feel a bit guilty that my surgery is actually very good!

Swan Surgery is brilliant and certainly deserves the Outstanding rating it has been awarded. When I have needed one, I have always been able to get an appointment and see a medical professional on the same day. The receptionists are always polite and helpful, the nursing team are friendly, caring and professional and my Doctor, Dr Bush, is excellent. I cannot rate them highly enough, especially when I hear of the poor experiences my friends and family have in other areas and with other surgeries. Recently my family and I contracted Covid 19 and the service we received was outstanding. My teenage daughters were quite poorly, but did not require any medical treatment. My husband suffers from asthma and after a number of phone calls with his Dr over a number of days, he was provided with an oxygen monitor and admitted to a ‘virtual ward’. Meanwhile, I was also quite unwell and after 3-4 weeks found that some of my symptoms were continuing and were starting to worry me. A phone call with Dr Bush led to an ECG, blood tests, a face to face check with my Dr and a chest X-ray within a matter of days. I spoke to Dr Bush nearly every day and she was very reassuring, contacting me straight away with my results as they came through.

Is it even possible to give no stars?... Where to start so I moved into petersfield, a little over a year ago and I was really poorly last year with a severe chest infection and I was struggling to breath I went there and seen the receptionists to try and see a doctor even tho I was not registered but most doctors surgery's would offer a temporary patient form and get you seen, these guys would not see me I also last year attempted again to try and see a doctor regarding my depression as it was getting worse, I explained to the receptionist that my depression is incredibly bad and I'm struggling to cope with it, The receptionist and I quote 'You are not registered with us go back to your area and see your Gp' they then hung up the phone! Giving me no chance to explain that I can't go to my old GP as they removed off the system! This one however just makes excuses not to see you, Yet I can call the grange surgery explain the situation and they would sign me as a temporary patient and see me on the day! Now I'm fully registered with them and happy about it! The level of customer care and respect there is tremendous compared to this swan surgery The attitude from the receptionists alone does put you off from going there as one in particular has made my partner feel very uncomfortable by speaking to her like utter filth, when she is also a very poorly person who suffers from severe Sezuires, and to be called out about her medication in front of practice staff and Patients and being told her medication is not important enough! When she has gone there to sort her medication out as she needs more!! Even the other receptionist at the time pointed it out to this lady and said see it is important!! She stuck up for my partner
