This lighthouse was difficult to find but by randomly driving round the harbor you can find them. This was easier to find from across the channel then track down how to get to the near side. Usually they are beautifully built and sturdy, which is a testimonial to the great expertise of the stone masons who cut the stone. They built them to last centuries. From across the approach into the inner harbor this light appears fairly neglected through the haze as the stonework appears soiled and with grass growing out between the blocks. However on the other side or the back side of the Port Authority building the stone appears cleaner. Hunting icons like this speaks volumes about the history of the people who toiled at these monuments. How will those who follow us view our contributions as we build gadgets of the week?
