Never having been there I couldn't possibly comment but when then a freshwater game angler, circa 1970 - 2000 I was more than impressed. However, due to a result of having my false teeth clasp become stuck in my tongue, all but suffocating, due to being unable to swallow nor spit out that which I shouldn't have been eating, saliva running down my neck & taken to Durham Hospital, I have never again, fished. This also taught me another salutary lesson...don't put to much In your mouth. One distinct story I do recollect stating there in Trout & Salmon, the River Carron was then 'Great' Britains fourth best salmon river, circa 1973, but never once have I seen a fish there nor caught, circa 1997 - 2017. No doubt due to fish farms It was only then, why I realised why one of two Atlantic salmon I ever caught never put up a good fight. It too, having inadvertently been hooked in the tongue. Frankly, I don't in all sincerity know which I miss more, catching fish or eating them? Furthermore & aside...should someone appreciate fine art, these incredulous, hand painted, water coloured etchings, numbers 32/250 by the internationally acclaimed artist, Tim HAVERS, FRSA (Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts), I should, like to sell, that set, one of two, I also purchased my now deceased father to the highest bidder as in all sincerity, I don’t know what is equitable. Upon reaching what I would regard as an equitable offer, (as then circa, 1979 – 83 they were un-mounted- unframed, unglazed, but now behind none reflective glass, cost what was then circa 1979 - 83 half a weeks wage each...you do the maths) To arrange viewing, please endeavour to e - mail, s a v e _ t h e _ t r e e s _ s a v e _ t h e _ w o r l d @ h o t m a i l . c o m , Tel: 4 4 7 9 3 0 6 9 8 7 3
