Great atmosphere. Kind and helpful staff. Lovely warm log burner and the food is wonderful. You can always rely on the Steak and Stilton Pie. Our favourite Inn, by far .

Very comfortable village pub in Dartmoor National Park. They are taking Covid precautions very seriously so, as someone who is on chemotherapy, I felt safe. The food was delicious and because I am allergic to onion, Lean, our waitress returned three times to our table pointing out items in my choice that might cause problems. On each occasion, she amended the order. That is what I call customer care and I appreciated it. It is not the cheapest place to eat, but as someone who loves their food, the price was not an issue. You get what you pay for.
Lovely place, lovely food (pie is fantastic) and lovely people. Had a really good time eating tasty food next to a log fire when damp and drizzly outside.
Have been coming here for years now and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious and not overpriced. Highly recommended pub for either a quiet drink or wonderful meal.
Great country pub, very popular, so I would advise reserving a table before you travel. Also parking is a little limited but there us on street parking nearby, well, on country lane parking. The Sunday roast is very good.
