Just perfect! We’re only stayed for one night but right Film the start we felt welcome. The hotel and the rooms are beautiful and modern. The staff was very helpful and friendly and even provided a vegan dinner menu for us. I also recommend the wine tasting! I’d stay again any time
Had a port wine tour and a dinner at the vineyard/hotel. Beautiful decorations. Food is tasty and 20 year port is smooth. Applaud for the environment.
One of the highlights of our trip to Portugal was staying at Quinta do Vallado. We had a room in the new house and absolutely loved the modern architecture, sleek design, and minimalism feel. The products were high quality and the bed was seriously a dream. We enjoyed the evening sitting on the balcony drinking the complimentary wine from the room. Everyone who works there is so kind! They helped us arrange a driver for the day to take us to different Quinta's as well as transfer service back to Porto after our stay. They were very responsive and helpful with each question we asked before we arrived. The breakfast is excellent! Many things are homemade and everything is very fresh. As a guest of the hotel you are also offered a complimentary tour and tasting with other guests. It's well-worth participating in this if you can. We are already dreaming of returning here for another stay the next time we go to Portugal!
Where should I begin to explain how much I love a place like Quinta do Vallado? Perhaps first, the incredible eye for detail! Rosemary branches on the pillows and cocktail recipes in the hotel room. The organically sourced dinner and breakfast, wine service all around the hotel. Including an educational daytime wine tasting. Overall room and hotel design. I'll come back one day and stay longer then ;-)
Amazing experience after COVID-19. Very clean and disinfected for those who panicking about it. Seal of Clean by the tourism authority in Portugal. Really wonderful scenarios and amazing location. The balance between old and new is simply excellent. The wines and the food are spectacular. The wine is informative and specially Cristina was amazing explaining all the details. Fell in love with Sousão red wine from VALLADO.
Really informative tour given by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. The facility is first class, and very well maintained. The wines are of very high quality and with an interesting twist in terms of production and grape varieties. There are quite a few steps involved in the tour, so be warned if you find that difficult.
Family winery. Nice dry white port wine very good. Red port very nice also. The white wine was crisp. The 2 red wines I wanted to try were not offered as samples.
