First time visitor on a Thursday eve. For other newbies, this is essentially an oyster & Martini bar. Dark, great music, concierge and table service. Prices are competitive and Martinis are sublime. Our waiter was very polite and suave, bringing class to the experience. It won't break the bank but the experience will trick you into thinking it will.

Delightful little underground bar. Great ambiance to grab a late night tipple and end your adventure. We got a Charlie Chaplin and an OG cocktail. The Charlie Chaplin was superbly balanced while the OG packed a subtle smooth punch. Service was attentive and staff were friendly. Will come again.

COVID-19 creates an opportunity for businesses to re-brand, so the Halford Bar transformed itself into Pooles Temple, a late-night live-jazz bar . The name Pooles Temple is inspired by George Thomas Temple-Poole. It was cool to see some familiar faces working at the bar and floor of this venue. If you stay at Como, there’s secret access that makes Pooles Temple almost a speakeasy bar. SF and I were looking for the pool area, but then we found a black card reader in front of a door. Not knowing where it led to, we tapped the key card to the reader, and voila, we stared into faces of surprised customers. We didn’t expect the door to lead there. Also, we didn’t notice the one-flight-down logo of Pooles Temple next to the reader too… When busy, it's hard to get the staff attention, but they were really friendly and helpful! So give it a try, the vibe in this place is really good for a late-night drink.
Wow. Beautifully decorated and great vibes. This venue provided talented jazz musicians, great tapas and a wonderful setting in which to enjoy them. Excellent.
Went to the pools temple last night with a few friends and all I can say I'd im never going back and it was a waste of money! Where shown to a table we sat down, looked at the menu waited for someone to come about 15 minutes passed not one waiter came to serve us so I got up and found one. Ordered with him. The oysters we ordered come out straight away. About 15 minutes later the drinks come out. I was given the wrong drink. I didn't touch it and right away found the waiter again and told him it wasn't the drink I had order. He asked if I still wanted the other drink and I said yes. We finished our drinks in a space of 30 minutes and by then our cheese plate still hadn't came out. We then went up to pay with the same waiter. He tried charging us for the drink I did not drink and never ordered in the first place. I told him I wasn't happy and I'm not paying for it but happy to pay for my other drinks I had. He said no I have to pay for it even though it was his mistake. This went back and forward for a bit. He was aggressively verbal and rude about it, infront of many other customers. I then said that obviously had had forgotten about our cheese plate too. He didn't admit that he did, but in his facial expression you could see he remembered. After that he let me not pay for the drink I didn't order then rolled his eyes. It was absolutely awful customer service. The waiter attitude is not acceptable, the less he was apologies for being in the wrong, but he wasn't sincere once. This could have all been avoided if he had written down our order in the beginning.
Impeccable service, great ambience, outstanding cocktails, knowledgeable, professional and enthusiastic staff. Perfect place to while away a few hours.
Great bar but drinks a tad pricey. Excellent jazz pianist and double base.
