Periwinkle Cottage Tea Room

Absolutely mind blowing location with beautiful houses, woodland and hills. Lovely homemade scones with generous portions of jam and cream. Good Covid 19 measures to keep everything clean and sanitised. One of the best tea rooms I've ever been. Defo recommend.

If there is anywhere better, I've yet to find it! I don't think I should ever really try, I think I just love Periwinkle :) For the south-west, this is it for me, it has everything. It is breath-takingly beautiful, the service is amazing and the cream tea is the very best I've ever had. You feel like you've stepped into another world here, a place you wish you could stay in. I never knew about the village until a friend of mine told me the story of the village (he has a personal connection with one of the houses in the village) and this was before the internet days, so it was a real journey of discovery for me to come here. When I move back to England, this will be my first place to visit! Come to Selworthy and see it for yourself, then have a cream tea at Periwinkle; you'll be so very glad you did.

What an incredible little find. The team couldn't have been friendlier, the cream tea was probably the best we've ever had! And super on it with covid measures. Everything was sanitised and spotless!

If we didn't live 4 hours away this would be a regular!! Best cream teas we've had all week! Amazing gluten free and vegan options too, it was so nice to not have to miss out! Vegan cream option for the cream teas too which we haven't found anywhere else. The staff were lovely and really really helpful. My brother had the lemon drizzle cream tea and said it was absolutely divine too!! Only downside is we only found it on our last but one day otherwise we would definitely be back!!

The tea room is in the most beautiful setting! The cakes and scones were delicious. There is a great selection of gluten-free and vegan cakes and scones too. It also has good measures in place against Covid. Great experience!
