Was recommended this historic eatery when we enquired for authentic, honest to goodness Peranakan Cuisine. Nice dining experience in a Peranakan home. The food was delicious and did not disappoint.

Went with non local friends. The restaurant is open since 1980s. Tried several typical nyonya food - ngoh hiang, chap chye, otak otak, ayam buak keluak, rendang beef, prawn nanas etc. The ngoh hiang is meaty and crispy. Rendang beef has smooth and strong coconut fragrance. Famous dish babi ponteh was sold out during dinner time. Nice peranakan decorations. No service charge and the service is fine

Savoured delicious, authentic Peranakan classics in a homey atmosphere. This eatery never fails to deliver after all these years. We even ordered for take away after our meal. Highly recommended.

Keep coming back here for the Ayam Buah Keluak and Babi Pongteh. The bomb!

To be honest... the taste is about 3.5. Its still much more authentic than Violet Oons and traditional... but at the price you pay... Please this is one of the better Peranakan meals around. Some average dishes but a few that hits the spot. The meatball soup was fabulous... so was the Kangkong! Rendang was ok too me a bit overcooked. But the fish was great! The belachan can be spicier too! Not sure if spices were mellowed for more general tastebuds but its still authentic and homecook. And great value.

I grew up eating at this place in the 90s. The babi pongteh & pig stomach soup etc were awesome five stars but having it every other week has grown to become a dull affair for me. I should have cherished those times better because the standard dropped 10 years ago and we stopped returning. We went back recently but we were left feeling even more disappointed.

A peranakan restaurant housed in a quaint old heritage building that has been there for many years. It keeps its old frontage giving it a rustic feel. Enter the restaurant n you will feel like you have entered the living room of the peranakan family house. The host will invite you for a seat where you can choose some really authentic pernakan food. Cooked traditionally with fresh ingredients. Prices are kept affordable so many pple can try. Love their sambal sotong, beef rendang and prawn roll
