Brilliant day out. So much information. And brilliant to learn about the mines! Very emotional at times. Excellent underground mine. Panning for gold was fun too! Staff are so friendly and so much to do! Cafe slightly expensive but food is delicious and there's so much! Def recommend!

This was a really great museum. Well out together, extremely informative and sensitively done. I particularly liked \the dry\ where you get to find the stories of the miners. A fascinating few hours to find about about amazingly recent British history. Well worth the entrance fee, a cracking day out :)

Really interesting place to visit. Lots of things to look at. Restaurant was reasonably priced and the ploughmans lunch was nice. Even though most of the site is accessible to wheelchairs, I wouldn't recommend it as some areas are inaccessible or the gradient is steep in places. Going into the mine is a bit of a con. I was led to believe you would go properly into the main mine, not a small section which hardly goes below a few feet and is a very short section. Some stunning views of the coastline

If you're debating coming here, definitely do it! There's a lot more to see here than we was expecting.. we arrived at 3pm and couldn't get round to seeing it all in before closing at 5, so I suggest visiting earlier in the day to make sure you see it all. Great day out and very unique. Staff were all great and helpful. Highly recommend!

We weren't expecting much, but we were so lucky - a really nice staff member that we met in the compression house explained loads about how the mine worked, then took us to meet one of the real miners, who had worked down the mine from age 17, until it closed in 1990. Today he tells tourists a bit about what it was like to be a tin miner and BOY did he have a few interesting tales to tell ! The place was alive with history and we spent over 3 hours there - an unexpected brilliant visit
