Pentre Mawr Country House Wedding Venue

Stayed here for the weekend. Well what can I say. An absolute gem of place, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The accommodation was fantastic and the owners couldn't do enough for us. Peace, tranquility and a fabulous venue made our weekend a memory. We will be back!!!!

Simply not fit for purpose as accommodation. As a family of four we were really looking forward to finally getting away for a change of scenery. Unfortunately what we got was a poorly finished cottage which has suffered from a sever lack of maintenance and upgrading. The ground floor cottage we were bundled into had clearly suffered from a lack of ventilation as the walls and ceilings had suffered from widespread condensation issues. It didnt stop there as the walls were also damp and you could smell and almost taste it as we walked through the door. We initially enquired to see if there were any other cottages/tents available but the gentleman owner said they didnt have anything else and that we can have our money back. Which is a great solution to a family of four who arrived at 6pm and would face a three hour drive back home! The damp was also downplayed by the owners as well to add insult. Added to the damp the cottages were really dirty, and given the current COVID guidlines we expected the accommodation to be spotless. It wasnt. The bath had cracked, there was dust behind the bedside tables, exposed electrical wires and a heated towel rail that had its TVR broken so was continuously on! We were offered a refund which we took but this place is lucky we haven't reported them to public health. Why should everyone else try their best and keep up with the latest guidance only for places like this to basically not care! We have all now come away poorly thanks to this place. If I could give it no stars I would have.

Nearly coming up to our two year anniversary, had such an amazing wedding weekend!! Bre, Graham and all the gang couldn't do enough for us. I would award more if possible
