What a lovely place. Perfect location right next to the bay. Feels relaxed and friendly inside so perfect for a nice relaxed meal. Indoor and outdoor seating available so lots of space given the situation currently for social distancing. Food was amazing. I had the chowder to start, and fish and chips for main. Could not fault it at all. So tasty, so nice. My girlfriend had mussels to start and tarragon chicken for main. Outstanding, fresh flavours. Meals are very big so we could have done without a starter so thats worth a note. But could not fault it at all. Great location, great environment, good staff, amazing food and all at decent price. Highly recommended of you visit the area.

The Boathouse is in a great spot only stopped for coffee which we enjoyed sitting outside in the lovely front area. Spotless toilets the Boathouse is bright clean and welcoming. Lovely staff great service, very efficient social distancing rules in place so could relax and enjoy the scenery. Will be back in the Summer all being well.

I had a starter special, haddock and mussel risotto. My mate had a steak sandwich. And I had lemon meringue pie for pudding. The starter and sandwich was around 6 each. I also had a pint of Guinness and my mate a coffee. Came to 25. The risotto was amazing! I would definitely return. They had a massive range of homemade cakes and desserts. We ate in the coffee shop down stairs but there is a restaurant upstairs which I think was evenings only. Very friendly staff. Clean and nice atmosphere.

Absolutely live the boat house so many happy memories from my childhood beenvusiting here for over 30 years... always a warm welcome food prepared fresh lovely servers and the ice cream is a must!!!! Visited last week felt very safe with all regulations in place.. Had a lovely meal with lovely freshly prepared food caught that day with fab service... Cannot wait to visit again Thank you boat house see you soon xx
