Such a great day out. We went from Glenridding to Pooley Bridge return and it took a few hours. We visited in December so it was a gorgeous cold, clear day and wasn’t too busy. Our boys loved it. Definitely one to visit if you are in the area.

Always take a trip across to Pooley Bridge for Ice Cream via the Ullswater Steamers when in the Lake District. Such a good round-trip with spectacular views. No complaints from me.

We had a very nice trip on Ullswater in 'Lady Wakefield' and a good time was had by all. Plenty of parking down by the pier, which can get full during peak season, but generally enough space. The whole process from; buying the ticket, the boarding, the tour itself, and disembarking was pure pleasure. Something to eat and drink can be taken (eat in or take away) at the ticket office and a hot drink taken on-board made the visit all the more enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended.
