I love Stone Circles, they have a wonderful atmosphere. Once we had found it, it did not disappoint.
Cockpit Stone Circle, Cumbria Low lying stone circle estamated to be constructed in 3,500 B. C. There are 3 cairms close to the circle. It is thought to have been a bronze age trading route which connected Long Meg and Mayburgh Henge.
