Penne Pomodoro (Snider Plaza)

A Park Cities/University Park Favorite... 4.5 stars. Fast and friendly pasta and pizza in Snider Plaza. Great location in the heart of University Park. Many UP residents walk to this local favorite for family-friendly pizza and pastas. Service is fast and wine prices are reasonable. While it may not make the top 10 in Dallas for Italian, it's the perfect mid-week splurge for the family. Outdoor tables if the weather in nice. Can fill-up on weekends. Reasonable prices make this a popular spot in UP.

One of my favorite places in Dallas for Italian food, it might actually be my favorite so far. It’s great quality food and prices are very reasonable. Friendly faces every time we go.

Atmosphere is good and staff is very friendly. Overall quality of the food was good. Had the calamari as a starter but wasn’t that impressed with the taste. The batter could use a bit of seasoning next time. It also tasted like it was probably frozen by the texture, but most restaurants seem to use frozen calamari anyway. For an entree I ordered the ribeye special with peppercorn sauce, roasted potatoes and asparagus which was very good. Vegetables were not over salted and steak was cooked to order. The only complaint from a cleanliness standpoint would be that management look up from time to time. The air returns, supply registers and ceiling fans are very dirty with dust and dirt.

This was the first time I've ever went to one of these establishments. I must say the service and other staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. It has a very cozy feel to it. I had a Cesar salad and the Lasagna. Both were definitely fantastic and the portion size was perfect for lunch. I will be going back for sure and letting others know as well.

I love the food here and always have! One of my favorites in Snider Plaza! The only issue I is the female manager's attitude. She seems put out to be there and acts annoyed to be doing her job.
