I've wanted to try Delta Blues for several years but the previous location was not convenient for me to go to. Now that the restaurant has relocated to Pelham, it is super convenient so I gave it a try last night. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! Best tamales I've ever had! The menu is pretty simple, but there are options to customize your orders to make it just how you like it. Plus, this is a great place to eat if you are GF, vegan, or a vegetarian! They have more food than just tamales so if they aren't your thing, you can still enjoy a meal here! If you are a lover of tamales - just know these are delta style tamales and will be different than the ones you might eat at your fave Mexican restaurant. They also have a full bar, specialty cocktails and a nice selection of craft beers. Please give this place a try! I will definitely be going back.

The sides are very good but the tamales are the best you will ever taste! You can not beat the flavor. There are several different toppings. Try them and you will see this is a restaurant that wanted to keep in Alabaster/Pelham location.
Our server. Brock. was not only attentive but very knowledgeable about the menu items. We were very nervous about going to a restaurant but social distancing was strictly enforced. The gluten free menu was awesome. We will definitely be going back.
Being vegan in Birmingham isn't as easy as it is in a lot of cities but this little place checked all of the boxes. I grew up on southern food and my husband grew up on Mexican food. We both are vegan and we both love spicy food. Somehow this restaurant checked all of the boxes. We both had tamale plates: one bbq and one wing sauce. Fried pickles were new appetizer to both of us and we topped off the meal with vegan blueberry cobbler. All of our questions were answered by our enthusiastic and friendly server, Rico. Glad we stopped in.
Very good food and service. We've been a few times. It's fantastic that the whole place is gluten free. My only complaint is no draft beer
