I really love that they generally play music outside on speakers. They have lots of outside seating and great staff. I'm not sure if I'm too keen on the bulb lights inside... But hey you can't please everyone. For me... the dimmer the better.

Great food at great value. A home away from home for anyone from Shoreditch. The perfect place for couples, families and friends.

I really enjoyed a few drinks here. It's a little gem so close to Westgate on Sea station. Lois was very helpful with the gin selection so thank you for a relaxing, enjoyable experience.

I have recently moved to Westgate and taking the time to discover it’s hidden gems. On Tuesday we decided to try Paul’s Bar and Bistro as it’s online menu looked amazing. Unfortunately we never got to try the food. The waitress asked us to take a seat as we walked in, which we did, 15 minutes and a couple of refills for other customers later, we asked if we could see the menu to which she responded once again that she will bring it to us, so we waited. Another table came in in the meantime, they received their menu and had their order taken straight away. After 35 minutes I asked the lady if we could please see the menus. She turned around, approached aggressively and screamed at us that it is not her fault she’s constantly under staffed and that we must stop being this rude. I’m not sure whether it hit me more as a customer or as a general manager of a restaurant in Canterbury however I can’t say I’ve ever been screamed at before for asking for a menu. When we told the waitress we won’t be staying she simply responded ‘fine, go then’. Truly speechless. I’m not sure whether this is the standard at this Bistro as this was my first time visiting however I will not be taking the chances and coming back again. The lady needs to be coached on social distancing as she kept sitting down next to customers without any protective measures in place.
