The best wine tasting I've ever been to in Bourdeaux. Thank you soo much. Château Pichon-Longueville Baron, a leading Pauillac 2éme Cru Classé estate, is one of Bordeaux's most illustrious \super seconds\. In 1987 it was bought by the AXAMillésimes Group, who also own Cantenac-Brown, Petit-Village, Suduiraut. AXA built a state of the art cuverie and chai at Pichon-Longueville Baron, while, in 2000, Christian Seely took over from Jean-Michel Cazesas as general manager. Pichon-Longueville-Baron's 73-hectare vineyard (70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc, runs adjacent to that of Château Latour and lies on deep gravel beds. The Cabernet-dominated Pichon-Longueville Baron is a more muscular, tannic and full-bodied wine than that of its neighbour across the road, Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. The grand vin is Chateau Longueville au Baron de Pichon-Longueville.The second wine is Les Tourelles de Longueville, introduced with the 1986 vintage. The best examples of Pichon-Longueville Baron have layer upon layer of unctuous, vanilla-scented, blackcurrant and cassis fruit, intermingled with cigar box and lead pencil shavings aromas. They require cellaring for at least 10 years..

Excellent private tour with Lucas. Me and my husband have done tours with most of the premier crus chateaux and Lucas was by far the most informative and knowledgeable guide. Great facilities, excellent wine, not to miss in Pauillac!
Beautiful Chateau with a very impressive and interesting visit. Personally I love their wine and it is definitely one of the beat in the Medoc region
Pichon Baron is a Wine producing chateau. As with all wine producing estates, they have several hectares of vineyards in this area which is 45 minutes out of Bordeaux. The wine production is actually below the pond which is quite amazing. Their wine is of the classified type. There's a visitor's area and a nice wine tasting area. There's parking and toilets for your convenience.

Great experience! Must try. Great tour with great wines. Super knowledgeable staff and super friendly service. Would come back. Totally worth the tasting fee!!!
Went on a Sunday 5/20/2018, but they were close. What an unfortunate miss of an opportunity. The only weekend that I can be in Bordeaux.
Based on my experience at the chateau, it’s hard to imagine not giving this place five stars. Everything about the tour and tasting were perfect. We arrived on time for our appointment, and were given a free private tour by a knowledgeable guide. Harvest had just begun, and the Merlot was in house, so we got to see some action in the winery. After the comprehensive tour of the vineyard and winery, we were offered a tasting of all of the wines of the chateau, including two vintages of the Grand Vin. We purchased several bottles after tasting, and were offered a nice gift from our guide upon departure. Perfect!
