Nice terrasse in the center ville of Pau, with a nice and kind stuff and a good service. Cool for a drink/coffee and usually not overcrowded. I recommend

Nice bar with great decorations! The waitresses don’t speak English but the food is delicious! (I ordered the first salad from the list of starters, it was excellent!)

Irish type bar/restaurant in the main square of the city of Pau in south-western France. Quite buzzy, comfortable and the staff are friendly. A good place to watch the rugby.

I liked it. The service was very pleasant. The sound system was lovely to the ears and the choice of music nostalgic but upbeat. If you've just arrived from the UK you might find it a bit phoney but after 28 years in France, it reminded me of home.

Nice beer list with a pretty decent selection and variety. Some in our party had desserts, they looked quite interesting. My only reservation is that we were outside under an awning in an enclosed space and space heaters were making the temperature uncomfortably warm. (I must confess potential bias, though: I have lived in the Canadian Prairies for some years now.)
