Delivery received as shown. Really really disappointing especially when this is supposed to be for a special occasion. No effort went in to sending in a secure package whatsoever.

We spent 2 hours enjoying our afternoon tea of well presented, tasty crust less sandwiches, fancies and warm scones with cream and jam. With generous refills of tea and coffee and a view over the lakes what more could you want?

Awful. Went in today at around 13:10. No sandwiches only pre-wrapped flat breads and baguettes. Ordered 2 meatball and mozzarella flat bread and 2 coffee. Coffee fine but the flat bead was dreadful. Tasteless synthetic mozzarella grated cheese, tasteless meatballs with a tasteless red sauce. Tables were sticky and no ambience, more like a greasy spoon cafe. All this for 17.75.

Most cafes visited during this pandemic have been spotlessly clean but not this one. Sat down on dirty seats, tables around not cleared. There was a dirty cutlery tray on the serving counter from which a spoon was provided to us. One staff member was openly complaining about another. Flies on the cakes on one counter. Toilets closed with a note for ‘staff use only’

Patisserie Valerie's afternoon tea for two menu includes traditional finger sandwiches that included fresh salmon, chicken and egg salad fillings. The afternoon tea was also delivered to the table with scones and mini versions of Patisserie Valerie's cake treats. I especially liked the clotted cream and the fact that they served the scones with Bonnie Maman conserve. As well, you will be delivered two pots of freshly brewed tea (not from tea bags!) Take a look at the pics I took to see how good this was! It’s more of a meal for two than an afternoon tea! We couldn’t eat it all and had to take some away. All this in a rather pleasant atmosphere for 25. How could you go wrong?
