Patisserie Valerie, Leeds: This was my first experience of afternoon tea and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the atmosphere was very relaxed, the place was clean and professional and the service was terrific. I purchased a voucher from Buyagift for this experience and it was very affordable, around 15 if I remember correctly, I wasn’t aware that it came with drink refills which was a nice surprise. The sandwiches were delicious, we went with the vegetarian option which had a egg, cheese and pepper selection, the quality was very high. The scones were delicious, I wasn’t expecting hot scones so when they came and were complemented perfectly by the jam and the cream I was very impressed. The sweet desserts were very rich, my favourite had to be the carrot cake. In terms of drinks, the hot chocolate was delicious and the tea was on point. The macaroons were nice however, whilst I was tasted them I couldn’t help but to compare them with the ones that I tried at @h4lo_cafe which were by far the best I’ve had in a while. Overall an amazing experience that I would highly recommend. Thank you @patisserievalerie More reviews @explorewithkash

We decided to visit again after lockdown as before lockdown the meal and service was poor. Unfortunately today the meal wasn't up to scratch again. My poached eggs came and they were hard I sent them back then I was asked oh you prefer them runny, well yes that's what poached eggs are supposed to be like unless I specify otherwise. The scrambled egg was overdone and like rubber. They don't butter the toast but put the egg on top not at the side. The bread wasn't even toasted. Disappointing as i wouldn't have paid the original 22. It came to 11 it came to with the dine out to help out. I was nearly reluctant paying that. I asked for a portion of toast and was told they didn't serve toast and if i did want that they would have to charge me 8.00 under the French toast specialities on the menu? I mean what place that serves breakfast and brunch doesn't have toast available on their menu?? Service had improved massively waitresses very polite friendly and accommodating.
