There was a time when we, hoping to fund QistoRia Pilipinas Digital Project, decided that we may need to raise funds (no investors for us, just plain old co-founders turning our pockets inside-out to finance everything) to get us going. We racked what remains of our brains and came up with a few ideas. One of which is to publish something like a coffee table book that serves as a printed awareness campaign material that highlights the many Philippine Historical, Cultural, and Heritage Markers scattered all-over the Philippines, and make it available for everyone most especially for students. We had everything sorted out except for one thing. Are we gonna sell it piece by piece, house to house, or is there a better way of doing it? We are planning on self-publishing those books and we need money to do that. Something we barely have. At the moment. So we racked our brains again. More intensely this time and... We stumbled upon something. If this is a problem for us, then this could be a problem for everyone else in our circle. Our community of makers and change-makers. The same guys we met at gatherings of Social Enterprises, makers, inventors, freelance game-makers, songwriters, and even independent movie makers... New product ideas, an invention, an independent movie script were left shelved because there’s no money enough to fund its actual creation. Ideas died natural, friggin’, deaths. That. Should. Stop. And we decided to help find a way.
