If food was a lady, you could call culinary experience in Patara Gracious Lady as the name suggest indeed. Authentic Thai flavours, great tasting food, friendly service and value for money. It was my second visit and as much enjoyable as the first time. Will definitely come back with the earliest opportunity

Great Thai restaurant right off from Oxford Circus, so quite convenient location. Pricey for what it is, but the food was good and service was quite gracious. My friend and I both got the veg red curry and shared a papaya salad starter and thoroughly enjoyed it (everyone does green curry in London, so seeing red curry on the menu is always a treat). We went as part of Eat Out to Help Out, so the price was 36 for the two of us (18 each) with 2 red curries, 2 sides of rice, and a papaya salad starter. Good vegetarian menu and lots of options, the menu is huge! Something for everyone here. Can also appreciate their COVID precautions. The plates and cutlery were presented at the table in a plastic bag, something I honestly haven't seen anywhere else.
Really delicious thai food and generous portions. We've been a few times over the last few years and often had one of the set menu/banquets for two. It is a lot of food so be prepared but we love that you get to try a bit of everything and it is always heavenly. Only thing would be that it would be good if there was an option to pay a bit less and not have dessert - I don't always have room!
Exquisite experience in Central London (we had the valentine's special). We have been to Patara a few times now and the conclusion is clear - their consistency is outstanding. We have never been let down by any of the dishes we have ordered and this time was no different. The highlight of the valentine's special was the duck with curry sauce - the meat was so moist and was peeling off the bone almost on its own. I wish they would have worked a bit more with the dessert as it was quite starchy (due to the ingredients) so perhaps something lighter might have been better. Overall the conclusion is that you cannot go wrong here, perhaps with the exception of desserts.
Good Thai food, good wine and really good service! We had the mushroom soup, the calamari and summer rolls apps, and the beef panang and garlic shrimp mains. I wasn’t a huge fan of the shrimp main dish, but the appetizers and soup were delicious. Their service was ready good, and they had an extensive drinks list to choose from. All in all, a good spot for Thai food!
