Like most wet markets you can buy vegetables, seafood, chicken, meat and others. Prices are competitive.
One of the famous markets in Penang to find anything. During the night you can find hawker foods and one of them is Lok Lok. The foods are served as skewers, boiling soup is placed in the middle of the table, customers will share the soup to cook their skewers. Various chilies are provided to enhanced the taste. Tables are set on the side of the street. Finding parking is usually very difficult here

Excellent place to see the simple basic cultural setting of the community. Lots of people, local food stuff and lots of food varieties to try. People are generally friendly and helpful. A must visit place if interested in the life of the community in Penang.
One of the best wet market in Penang island, but generally everything is pricier than most others. Choices for foods are plenty with mini food court behind the market and there are at least ten kopitiam or restaurants within the 500m radius. You can also buy fruits from the many stalls in and around the market.
