Getting help with the PADV is hit or miss. Does anyone know the complaint/grievance procedure for this organization? I am not asking anyone for help at this point, this organization does not care about helping someone in an abusive situation get help ,especially if you do not have family or friends that you can turn to, I have no one. I can not believe the unprofessionalism of this organization I have emailed many times about how to file a grievance and no one even emails me back.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for PADV and my former advocate, Ms. Angela Bywaters. I was blessed into this program due to acts of domestic violence, but I was blessed out with a new and improved outlook on life. Ms. Bywaters is a professional that shows so much compassion for DV victims and even homeless individuals. She came to court with me, and stayed with my daughter in the waiting area for emotional support. She always has a very positive perspective because she can see a silver lining in pretty much every situation. Ms. Bywaters had a wealth of resources that she made available to me. One of which led to my daughter receiving a private school education. When the holidays approached last year, she and Ms. Jenell Jackson helped heal some of the trauma my children experienced by making sure they had Happy Holidays. My family was more than just a number to Ms. Bywaters. I knew by the way she worked diligently on my behalf that my family mattered to PADV. The amazing part is that you don't have to be a blood relative to receive help at PADV. You don't even have to know people in high places. You just need to call. You'll find some kind-hearted person like Ms. Bywaters ready and willing to pick you up so you can stop surviving and start thriving. Their program works for people who want to better themselves, but it doesn't work if you want to return to your abuser and fall into unhealthy patterns. They have a staff of vigilant, uplifting people that work tirelessly to help and house those in need. They have a tough job that's thankless most days. So I am writing all this to say THANK YOU for helping to change my life for the better. I actually miss the staff, but especially my advocate. Happy Holidays!

They are so rude and nasty and disrespectful acting. All they seem concerned about is being defensive thinking everyone wants financial assistance. They make you feel less than and are abusive as well.

I called today for Ms. Angela and she was Very Rude. I need assistance and all she can do is be rude. She made sure I knew I was on her time an she was not at work. I called her bc I was given her number. She overtalked me and didn't listen at all. Her tone was horrible! What's the point of asking for help only to be treated like a pest. I wish there was a corporate office I could contact. I wan her supervisor to know!
