We stayed at Applebee but passed by Kain Hut. The hut has to be booked entirely during covid so we stayed at Applebee. A tough grind up to Kain Hut with use of ladder in one section. Chicken wire provided at parking lot to prevent porcupine from chewing the car break. Hiking sticks a must. There's one outhouse at trailhead and 2 outhouses at the hut.

One of the best mountaineering/scrambling/climbing experiences you can get in Canada. Not for inexperienced hikers though - approach trail is rather challenging. ACC Cain hut provides great shelter, plenty of sleeping space, and all utilities. Booking strongly recommended. Applebee campground provides excellent views and few basic utilities - vermin stands, water, toilets.
Breath taking climbers paradise!
One of my favorite hikes ever. Absolutely stunning views of spires and the glacier, nice scrambles that are challenging but doable for a beginner (and world class climbing but that's above my pay grade). It takes a few hours of dirt road driving to get here, and an in and out hike up East spire will take you all day. So be prepared for a very early day.
Remote provincial park, with some of the most incredible spires, glaciers, and climbing rock the province has to offer. Consider staying at CMH for your ski trip here, their service is second to none. The Conrad Cain hut is also located in the park, and is by far, my favorite ACC hut. If youre looking for more than just a walk in a park, this is your destination.
