This was open as usual on our last fishing trip to Hythe.Lots of fish caught on the beach throughout the day and two even better pieces from Park Road fish bar early evening. Two chairs outside to rest your bones when waiting social distancing in plaice ( sorry ) only downside was the indoor seating area closed which we normally use.
TERRIBLE! After reading so many good reviews, we expected some nice fish and chips..... Walked back to our b&b, opened the bags and realised there was no fish! Seriously? ordered 3 portions, asked for salt on all as well- got hell a lot of salt on one of the chips..... and none on the other....... and the fact that fish was missing ruined the whole experience.... Thank yo for your reply. Unfortunately, not.... we didn't open our food until we got back to the hotel........ not worth going all the way back...
What a gem of a place for Gluten Free Fish and Chips. Cooked to order, the GF batter is awesome. My wife, who is a Coeliac, has never had and repercussions from eating the fish and chips. The fish is firm and not watery. Excellent customer service, friendly and chatty. During the pandemic they operate a 2 in the shop at any one time. Wait outside for your food to cook. Very safe. They even run a buzzer service if you want to have a quick drink in the pub around the corner. Well done to everyone and thank you.
Excellent quality. Will just have to remember to ask for the medium or large cod next time because the small IS small haha
