Incredible. A true experience of French culture and history. A must do, especially if you can understand the French language.

Fun time! Things to consider: the show is 4 hours long, the space is small, seats are wood benches/stools, cash only. But the entertainment is wonderful! A troupe of 8 or so singers of all ages and a wonderful pianist. They perform many popular French songs, but you don't need to know them or even understand French to have a good time.

Please don’t waste your money! It’s four hours of French-only folk songs with no breaks, overpriced tiny drinks and terrible customer service. There were only 8 of us total in the audience and after an hour of nonstop singing with piano accompaniment we thought the show was over... However this was just the first section. The singers then come in one by one for a solo show and block the only exit by performing in front of it and putting a curtain across! There are no other instruments or acts other than singing with piano. This is not cabaret as you know it but a very stripped down, less entertaining version. The owner was rude and I felt threatened when we tried to leave. 28 euros each is extortionate and the owner wouldn’t let us leave without paying the full ticket price even though I’d tried to leave 20 euros for two people, which was more than the show is worth... This is not for tourists who don’t speak French. The only people in the audience that seemed to be enjoying it is some older French people. The owner was clearly used to people trying to leave and evidently hasn’t made much effort to improve the show...

I was reading the reviews and whenever someone had something negative to say. I noticed the owner will leave a very rude replied. Which says a lot of what kind of place it is. I went to one of the shows in 2009 and apparently is still the same show. Me and my friends stay there for maybe less than 2 hours. I found some of the singers to be very rude. Just like the person that will probably replied back to this comment.

Authentic French cabaret with a very personal approach to the guests. This is not Moulin Rouge but a small, typical Parisian place with lots of history and where the singers still perform without microphones. A few of the singers were very talented and managed to create a very cosy and warm atmosphere. All songs are in French, but hey, you are in France, so don't even think about complaining about this! The entrance fee comes with a complimentary drink to your choice which is a bit confusing as they serve a small glass of welcoming drink (wine) on the house. Extra drinks are reasonably priced.

Superb show! I stayed in Paris last week, taking my mother away for a short break. We stayed in Montmartre and I took her to the Lapin Agile as a surprise. She did not know what to expect but we both thoroughly enjoyed the evening. There were around six or seven performers, initially singing together and then performing individually. It was wonderful! The performers were exceptional with superb voices. We will both remember our visit to the Lapin Agile for a long time to come and have no hesitation to go again!

Where Picasso ate and held court with Max Jacob and Appolinaire and many other famous names.

The show experience is amazing. The group is very enthusiastic , you will learn tradicional Parisian songs even if you are not a french speaker . The local is small , so do your reservation. Also have in mind there is one window at the room and you will seat really close another 30 people. Drinks are a bit priced.
