I started training with Deitado's group in November 2013, having had zero experience with martial arts or capoeira before then. It was an absolute pleasure to find that these guys are some of the friendliest, warmest and coolest people you are ever going to meet! They take their time to help you out and point you in the right direction in a sport that, even if you have no idea about it at the beginning, you quickly get used to the format of the classes, the names of the kicks and esquivas in Portuguese, the songs in the roda, and basically everything you need to become a real capoeirista! As regards Deitado himself, I can honestly say that he is one of the most professional people I have ever met, his classes are well-thought out and extremely varied (in all the time I was there I always felt I was learning something new). I especially liked the fact that he often emphasized the importance of being a complete capoeirista, in the sense that you have to know how to play the instruments and the words of the songs just as much as you need to work on your ginga, fluidity of movement and kicks etc. It makes you realize the cultural importance of capoeira, not just as a martial art but as cultural expression with many integral facets. The group is extremely varied, there are just as many girls as guys, of all ages and backgrounds, oh and don't let the fact that you feel you're too old put you off! I was 33 when I started and had absolutely no previous experience. Overall, if you're thinking of taking up capoeira in Paris, there's no need to try out other groups in my opinion, you're not gonna find much better than Deitado's team! The only reason I'm no longer there is because I left Paris, and while I feel it was time to leave the city, the thing I miss most about not being there is being able to go to Deitado's classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday! Don't think about it anymore, go and try it out, or as they say in French \Allez-y lesyeux fermés !\ Axé!!!

Une qualité d’enseignement et pédagogique hors pair ! Professor Deitado fait preuve d’humilité et de bienveillance dans son école envers ses élèves et les personnes qui visitent son académie. Il sait s’adapter à tout pratiquant quelque soit le niveau et le profil. Grâce à sa personnalité et son investissement, il a su créer une belle cohésion et une ambiance conviviale entre ses élèves qui ont soif d’apprendre et le don d’accueillir les nouveaux pratiquants et les visiteurs avec enthousiasme et bienveillance. Une chose est sûre ...essayer c’est l’adopter !
Deitado est un professeur fantastique ! Pédagogue, à l'écoute, il a à coeur de nous faire progresser quelque soit notre niveau. Que vous soyez débutant ou avancé, les cours s'adaptent à nous ! L'ambiance est très sympa, on se sent bien. Que vous vouliez vous défouler ou vous entrainer aux instruments, les cours vous sont ouverts. Bref, je recommande
intéressé par la Capoeira, j'y suis venu par hasard J'ai testé un cours même si je pensais être déjà trop âgé à l'époque ... et cela fait maintenant 6 ans que j'y suis ! super groupe, super ambiance ;)
Je pratique la capoeira dans le groupe de Deitado depuis des années. J’y trouve tellement: confiance, ancrage, force, volonté mais aussi de la joie, une équipe soudée, motivée ... une passion qui devient une famille ! L’enseignement de Deitado est rigoureux, professionnel, il est reconnu mondialement pour ses qualités de capoeiriste et de professeur et dans une très bonne ambiance. Allez y!
J’ai découvert sur les recommandations d’une copine et je la remercie encore ! J’ai trouvé un sport qui me permet de déconnecté complément, avec un groupe de personne au top et bien plus efficace que n’importe quelle salle de sport
