Bocamexa was an unintended dining choice made after visiting a cafe up the road, we were hungry and decided to stop in. To begin, I have visited most of the other \authentic\ Mexican restaurants in Paris and as such have a pretty good baseline to set my expectations to. On offer from Bocamexa were four options, a quesadilla, bowl, burrito and tacos. My buddy chose the burrito and I went with the tacos. For the tacos I had the Poulet Pibil, Chorizo and Beef as meat options along with the Roja salsa. In my opinion, the Pibil was lacking any real defined flavors, I can only assume that since this dish is usually done with pork, perhaps the annatto and chicken don't combine to offer more of a flavor profile. The chorizo seemed overcooked and most if not all the oil had been drained leaving you with crunchy bits. The beef was the best of the three but not by far, it was claimed to be barbecue flavor but didn't have any smoke flavor but was tender. Overall, despite having food that wasn't great, the place was inviting and the staff helpful. Price for three tacos was 13 euros which I feel was acceptable considering everything was fresh.

Good, but average. But still good.

Proper, fast Mexican! My burrito was 5/5 and my wife’s quesadillas 4/5. A minus from the planet for using plastic cups for the salsa and wooden cutlery in the tables... The champion recette was superb!

Delicious Mexican food! A burrito and chips come out to around 11 euros. It seemed like a popular place to go.

Overpriced boring fast food, Mexican-themed.

It was OK. It's really hard finding good Mexican food in Paris. They do use corn tortillas which is really rare in France. You can buy hot sauce and corn tortillas by themselves. The staff is always very nice.

I was told that authentic Mexican food is rare in Paris. This might be the closest thing to “real” Mexican food one can find. I don’t know about the owners, but the people there were for sure Latino, which is always a good sign. The food was pretty good! I think the best menu item is the burrito. For tacos, I really wish they had more variety. But all in all, it was super tasty, and the staff was patient and kind. Oh, and they got jarritos!

It is a good and tasty place. I mean, it is not what you would call \authentic\ Mexican food, but their concept is still original and Mexican-like. They have Valentina sauce that you can put for free in your burritos or quesadillas. They have Jarritos and Mexican beer. Also, you can buy some Mexican products as well.
