Lovely lunch at Papermill lock, followed by a walk in the sun. Sandwich was freshly made & brought to my table beside the river. Food on other tables looked really good too, particularly the different types of ploughmans they were serving. Took name & number when I ordered my food for trac n trace. Tables well spaced and staff were knowledgeable, smiley, chatty and excellent at their job, well done all of you, everyone was well looked after and tables were cleared promptly after we'd finished. Relaxing place to pop along too and recommended.

Whilst the tea rooms are still shut it’s a great place to walk along the river. There is a car park or you can park alongside the road. The footpath is wide and with great views of the surrounding countryside.

We've been coming to Papermill Lock Tearooms for more years than I can remember; nearly always as part of a river walk or a run. Mainly teacakes, cakes and coffee, or the rare sandwich lunch. Obviously Covid-19 has affected things a bit, but, our last Sunday stop there was excellent as usual. Lovely cakes, coffee, and very good friendly service. Perfect location by the river and lock. Long may we continue to visit the tearooms!

We had a lovely afternoon here at Paper Mill Lock, lunch was very nice and very reasonably priced, the staff are mostly young , very polite and efficient. The tea rooms get very busy but we managed to get a table easily. The area is ideal for a pleasant restful walk along the river, we walked quite a long distance and generally the route was not busy. The parking is quite limited but after driving round a few times we eventually got a space. Ideal place to get away from it all once you have managed to park.
