Great local park, with lakes and plenty of open space for social distancing. Some tracks off of the main area have some lovely walks with plenty of uphill paths to get your heart rate up. The remains of the Palace and the great oak can also be seen. Sitting in front of the Great Oak is very calming.

Beautifully scenic park with many varied paths and tracks. You could spend all day wondering around the various lakes, and along the River Mimram which flows through. Free car park. Be warned that this can get full at weekends

Our dog was lost whilst walking at Panshanger Park today. We got a phone call from Murray the ranger to let us know she was safe and he was keeping with her until we could catch up. Murray waited in the cold and snow until we got there. Hugely appreciated. What a helpful friendly ranger. Makes all the difference. This is a favourite local walk of ours, we will definitely be back.

We love walking here as a family. It is a wonderful local gem. With woodland walks, shaded by stunning ancient oak trees, fields and lakeside to choose from you get a nice variety. It's never been especially busy on the paths, which we also really like. The children have lots of room to stretch their legs and my husband always brings along his camera to take pictures of the scenery. In the warmer months it's a lovely place for a picnic by the lake and we love watching the cows, who don't ever seen to mind people being near them. A huge selling point for me is that I've never had to dodge a dog poo! I know it's a ridiculous selling point, but it is one for me! The park must be in some special bubble where owners pick up after their pets! The only downside for me is the limited parking. It's fine on a grey day but it's tricky to park on a hot, sunny day. Not really the parks fault but something to consider if you are heading down on a glorious bank holiday etc. All in all I would highly, HIGHLY recommend Panshanger park to all!

Large gorgeous park with wildlife and various areas to run, picnic, or simply sit ️ Myself and my partner have walked the length of this park and found it spans a good 7-8k steps! Also a lovely place is you adore wildlife with one of the UKs chalk rivers between both lakes. Well kept, lovely park.
