Panipat Battle Field Memorial (Kala Amb) is a historical site situated at 8 kms away from Panipat city. This majestic ground witnessed the third battle of Panipat between the Maratha warriors and the Afghan army. According to legends, the mango (Amb) trees in the war ground were turned black (kala) due to the uncontrolled bloodshed that took place in the war. Hence, the ground named Kala Amb. There is a red obelisk in one corner of the ground which is said to be the place where the Maratha commander Sadashiv Rao Bhau fell in the battle. The place is beautifully maintained. Ambience is quiet and serene. It is a must visit place.

Not many people visit here. You will not find anything much except a place where black mango tree was there. The place is not even well maintained. But still if you want to have some alone time distant from city chaos then you can spend some time here.
