Decent chip shop at the entrance of the pier, which was a cafe in times gone by, with good sized indoor dining area and limited outside seating. The food quality and service is good and everywhere is clean and tidy. Traditional chippy menu with various meal options, kid's menu available, and a selection of hot & cold drinks, all to takeaway or eat in. The excellent views alone from sat inside looking along Paignton seafront towards the harbour are worth dining in here. Recommended!
Wonderful service and delicious food. The cod was perfectly cooked, the batter light and crispy and the chips were golden crisp and fluffy. Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had.
We had lovely chips and cod in a crispy batter. Both the normal and gluten free versions were superb. Usually we would eat in, but due to lockdown, we did a click and collect as a birthday treat. Hot, perfectly prepared with little extras like, wooden cutlery, lemon and tartar sauce. Ready on time and safe queuing in place. Highly recommend, with a sea view thrown in!
Surprisingly good fish and chips! Very unusual for me to try any food from a pier, but these are very good and not just a tourist hot spot. Even better is the fact the cater for gluten free food in a big way with certification from the Celiac Society!!! I can’t say I’ve seen this before, let alone on a pier. Gluten free options elsewhere, yes, but not taken to this extreme. They have won a number of national awards already in 2019/2020 and have a small indoor seating area. UPDATE: Second visit during COVID times, just as good, and still amazingly fresh and clean. Made use of the seat down area, a very well presented meal and once again not what you would normal expect from a ‘tourist’ location on a pier.
