I am currently doing voice lessons with Ms. Ostrove and her teaching strategies, recommended techniques, and encouragements have overall made me a better singer and more confident in myself. In just two years, myself and my family recognize my skills that she helped me cultivate and it has made me more passionate in singing. Despite not having proper lessons since I was four until two years ago when I started with Ms. Ostrove in 2018, this didn't pose any problems at all and she helped me find my unique skills and preferences in singing. It has been an absolute pleasure to learn vocals from Michelle. I'm one of those people who find it really challenging to find people who not only know what they're doing but also have a personality that makes me feel comfortable. Michelle is both of those things and really does care about helping you be the best you can be because she loves what she does and it shows. I am so thankful for finding Michelle as a voice coach for my daughter. I brought my 10-year-old daughter to Michelle back in 2014 after being referred by another friend. She was able to get her to sing beautifully! After a little while, I stopped trying to live vicariously through my daughter and started taking lessons on my own. I have no real musical background so although Michelle can be very technical, she keeps things simple and focused. She has a knack for staying on target with the goal of being able to sing each song the best that I could sing it. I should add that I am nearly deaf. I have a cochlear implant on my left and a hearing aid on my right. I know I'm a challenge for Michelle but she is such a pro and she really helps me use music as an escape from reality. I hope someday I could be good enough to do the same for others even if it is for only five minutes.
