Awesome bookshop. A proper labyrinth. You can get lost here. A book-lover's paradise.

Excellent second-hand and antiquarian bookshop. One of the most interesting shops in Whitstable. There’s several rooms spread across the ground floor and basement. Prices are most reasonable. Good for art, fiction, literature, science-fiction, crime and biography. We found a great biography of Ingmar Bergman and an Iain Banks ‘Culture’ novel when we visited. The owners have arranged some rooms like film-sets reflecting the genre of books they house, which is very engaging.

If browsing old books is your idea of enjoyment you cannot afford to miss visiting this oasis of calm. Room after room of well displayed books and areas providing comfortable seating.

A labyrinth of treasures on two floors. A cornucopia. Highly recommended.

Fabulous place - a hidden warren of book treasures! So much choice, so many books to choose from -from specialist, vintage, first editions, children’s, hobbies, local history..... every subject. Very friendly, helpful owner. Books were reasonably priced. My friend and I bought four between us and only went in to check the place out! The wow factor was the comfy, ‘come and sit here ‘ (armchairs/settees/rugs) laid out to encourage you to stay, sit and browse ........
