Woeful. 3.50 for tinned roe with one scoop of chips. Roe was black from the heat lamp, baked dry, the chips were nothing to mention. Even the cat wouldn't eat the roe! NEVER again! Footnote: I've read the response from the owner. I find it unbelievable that they would question that I was sure it was from them. So to clarify, opposite Tesco Express by the traffic lights for Furnace Hill/Coombs Rd. I do know where I shop, and what I was charged.
I've been getting my fish and chips from Our Plaice for many years and usually the food is good, sometimes excellent. However, I have just bought a 'large' cod and chips , which is what I normally have, only to discover when i got home they've given me a small to medium sized cod instead. Not very happy when I've paid 1.20 extra for large. As i said before, this is my usual order so i know what a large cod looks like and this definitely wasn't!!!
The best place for fish & chips. A little more expensive than others, but worth the money!! Polite staff and very covid safe. Placed a order over the phone for collect, within 10 minutes they was ready.
I never know when’s the best time to order from this place, the food is tasty.. well if I’m honest very over priced everything is 3 more on Uber eats.. and to get the price you have to go in the place.. again expensive but I just always get put off... the owner has such an attitude, very smug and making you feel like you’re in the way.. like “what?”.. very rude if I’m honest. Makes the whole experience uncomfortable, and makes me wish I didn’t purchase from him.. puts me right off my food when it comes. It’s a shame as this was a great place, love the fish and the meats.. chips are ok.. but not the best customer service, I have a great experience at royal fish bar just on Stourbridge road, very well priced and lovely staff, excellent positions wish they did a Uber eats. Replying back: No sadly I’m not a regular at the royal fish bar or any fish bar I don’t always order fish and chips, far from it, I have to order from Uber due to the attitude you always have every time I come in, if I’m honest I’m shocked by the reply with “praise another fish bar” this is what I mean by your attitude, you clearly don’t care how you come across and this is why I wrote my review. Didn’t say the food was bad but it’s your customer service and the tone you have with customers. And let’s not fool ourselves you are not bothered by this review and clearly would like to say other words and not “sorry”. Anyway, just another review.... it’s ok you got a good fair few 5/5 from friends Also to add, I’m the only person ordering... so no stress from “customers”... I’m literally the only one and you still have an attitude.
