An excellent friendly garden centre where you can buy almost anything, including plants! Reason for 4 stars is that it feels very commercial selling everything from jigsaws for children and wool for enthusiastic knitters, a boon in these Covid times, but sometimes loses the feel of what its main purpose is. Excellent restaurant and helpful staff.

Had a fantastic and well needed afternoon for my mother and I. We enjoyed looming at some of the obvious high quality stock plus dedicated staff. The coffee walnut cake is my best so far, ice cream was rich and cool plus really good coffee (flat white). The only reason I haven't pressed the fifth star, and I hated not doing it -is the fact the staff looked so bloody overworked. I felt truly sorry for every single one. Now I know businesses are trying their best to survive, and job cuts are inevitable, but for God's sake consider losing 7% of GP for your staff's sake. You need at least 25% more staff on top of present levels. But anything will do. NB This is my own sentiment and independent observation. But what great potential. I'll be back if you raise staff 10%. Deal? TA
Always a pleasure to visit anytime of year, has a real festive feel with Christmas around and decorations and lights displays, also great gift ideas. Restaurant had good choice with pleasent staff, and of course the present Covid19 regulations applied, the food was good and satisfying value for money.
Brilliant source of everything for the house and garden, bar the kitchen sink. Well, there might even be kitchen sinks tucked away somewhere, who knows.... It has certainly expanded enormously from being a mere garden centre, and is now almost a well stocked department store on one level. Bright, well laid out and spacious, it sells a wide variety of home, kitchen, decorative, percale and clothing products, and of course, an excellent range of indoor and outdoor plants. And when conditions permit, has a very good restaurant and cafe. Ample parking, easy access, on the bus routes, friendly helpful staff - a family friendly place. Highly recommended.
Great garden centre and probably one of the best day trips during the pandemic.
