We were there for 2 nights and wish we had stayed longer. Cecilia was the perfect host. Her villa is lovely and so is her guest house. She cooked us an excellent meal and was the consummate host for a wine tour and tasting.
Excellent location within the vineyard with excellent views. The accommodation was very spacious and a swimming pool was available nearby for our use.

One of the most amazing places I have ever visited. Beautiful vineyard with stunning views of Orvieto on the hill. Cecilia Bottai, one of the family members that owns the vineyard, is an excellent host, tour guide and educator of all things Umbria, Rome, wine and Italian lifestyle. Her wine tasting is an experience in itself. The wine and food pairings are fantastic and only exceeded by her passion in everything she does. Part of the wine cellar dates back to Etruscan times, approx 2700 years ago! Cecilia hosted a wedding for a friend and we spent over a week at the vineyard. She set us up with a few guided excursions to ancient Rome, The Vatican and Florence. Her connections with tour guides allowed us access and an education that could not be compared. I highly recommend visiting Tenuta Le Velette and meeting Cecilia. She will show you an Italy beyond imagination.
